How to select a Smartphone ?

If you are about to buy a new smartphone, then this article is a 'must read' thing for you. There are so many companies launching new smartphones every month. There is very tough competition going on between all these companies. So the question is 'How to select the best phone among so many options ?'

The answer to the above question is  'The selection of the phone should be made according to your specific requirements.' But for that you should know that what are the features included in smartphones nowadays. So here I give you the list of features included in smartphones:

1) Operating System:
Operating system determines the performance of a smartphone. The better the operating system, the better the performance of your phone. The most popular mobile operating systems are:
• Android: Android is an operating system provided by Google. There are so many versions of Android OS. But I recommend you to buy a phone which includes Jelly Bean 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 or Kitkat 4.4. OS. Android is the best mobile platform according to me and if you dont have any idea about mobile OS, go for the Android versions I mentioned above.
Windows Phone: Windows Phone is a closed source and proprietary OS from Microsoft. This OS can mostly be found in Nokia phones.
iOS : iOS is also a closed source and proprietary OS, but it is from Apple. This OS can commonly be found on Apple's iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, etc.
BlackBerry : BlackBarry is a proprietary and closed source OS commonly found in BlackBerry smartphones and tablets. You need to buy a BlackBerry phone if you need this OS.

2) Memory:
While selecting a smartphone you should take utmost care about its memory and storage space. First of all find out its internal memory for app installation. I recommend at least 1 GB of internal memory if you are fond using different types of apps and games. Then find out its internal storage. This storage can be used to store your data such as text files, videos, audio, images, etc. You should select it as your requirements. Then you should find out its support for external memory card. I recommend to have at least 32 GB. Besides this, you should also take care of the RAM memory. RAM memory determines the running app space. The more the RAM memory, the more number of apps can run simultaneously. 512 MB might be enough but you need to run more apps go for 1 GB.

3) Camera:
You might hardly get a smartphone without a camera. At least I have not seen any. Select  a phone with a camera of  at least 2.0 megapixel. But if you want to have better image quality, then go for 5.0, 8.0 or 13.0 megapixel(MP).

4) Battery:
Battery life is another important thing that you should take care. Selection of battery life depends on your usage. Battery should not get drained until you are back to a place where you can recharge your phone. Also keep in mind that battery life gets worse after 12 to 24 months.

5) Display:
Smartphone displays are of various types and sizes. Among the display types I recommend the IPS LCD or Gorilla Glass. Size of the display can be according to your needs.
